I have today downloaded movie studio 2022 platinum but my computer won't install the software. I get an error message saying 'An error had occurred during communication'. Can anyone help please?
Hi Ray. Tried all suggestions, including turning firewall off and also setting firewall to allow app through but still getting the same error message. This follows the small window showing installation progress. This gets to 100% then I get a split second image of the rotating white star on a black background before the error message appears. Thanks for your help with this.
What is you computer specification and Windows version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full.
I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.
Have posted the info that I know to my profile signature. I have now looked at system requirements in downloaded manual but my computer knowledge isn't good enough to really understand. I'm assuming my computer isn't up to the task!
You may just scrape by on your system specs but the editing experience may not be pleasant and don't expect to be able to handle files above 1920 x 1080p.
I do notice you are more than a few build updates behind with Windows 10 so your graphics drivers may also be in need of updating those as well. So the first thing I would do is make sure the system is up to date.
Then when you get the exe file to open to download the program right click the OK button and 'run as administrator'.
See if that works first.
Ray.

@Roy-Cooper Hi, sorry i can't answer that, it looks like your internet connection, whether that is your PC or the modem, but to be honest i think you would struggle with that PC even if you do get it to load 😢 your CPU is only dual (2) core, a quad (4) core is normally recommended on here, 8GB of RAM is about as low as you can go & the graphics only has 2GB, some people on here do ok but some struggle with 4GB cards & I upgraded from a card with 6GB card.
