Can't Import mp3 in the Premium Activated Version

richard-rodermond wrote on 4/17/2019, 10:51 AM

I've been using Music Maker from the beginning (1994) and had never problems with the software. Now, for the first time I can't import mp3 music files in the program. The file directory only shows WAV files. I am a DJ and work with a lot of mp3's, mix them, or creating tracks for my sets. I really can't believe that I am trying to solve this problem for almost 2 hours now and can't find a solution. In all the versions from 1994 till now I've never seen this. What is the problem and how to fix it????? I bought the premium 2019 version and the program is activated. Kind regards, Richard

Or is the problem that I have to go to more functions in the shop menu and than to more tracks and functions and than buy a mp3 support for 9,99 euro's?????? Really? I just bought the premium version for 129,99 euro's! If this is the case than Magix has become something that is not about making music but only making money. I will install an old version of your software if this is the case. Because that old software does support mp3 content. And mabye it is a good suggestion to mention it on your website that this audio program does not support mp3's, only if you buy this fuction. And reading this forum i am not the only one. Hope this is all not true and your company is still the same like it was all those years ago.

Hi

. . . . . I bought the premium 2019 version and the program is activated. . . . .

Did you download and install all the extra soundpools, functions, instruments and effects?

If not click the gear top right of the Store tab and select Download all purchased content - the More tracks and formats are included in these downloads.

You can download it for free. I believe you can choose 9 features for free. Mine tells me how many fee choices I have left at the bottom of the store frame.

Hi guys,

As soon as I opend the program for the first time I choose to download some soundpools like the program told me too. So I did and I choose 9 different soundpools. But now I want to start working with the software and can't use the mp3 format. And I did not know this was the case. The software did not told me and also not the magix website that I had to choose more tracks and formats to buy or download for the program to work. For me, working with the magix software for more than 20 years this is a new thing and not what I am used to. So what to do now? Do I really have to buy the mp3 format because I choose some soundpools before I knew about this issue?

If that is all you downloaded then you have not installed the extra features, tracks, formats, instruments and functions as I posted above.

If the additional features etc do not appear in the additional download dialog, try logging out of the Store and then back in again.

If that fails to show the downloads, open the program settings and click the Clean up store option. and then check the store again.
