I have asked for help many times from Magix support but have received no reply. I really need to get this app installed. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

@Jim-Laursen Uninstall everything from Magix Music Maker 2019 in Windows. Reboot your computer. Then disable the controlled folder access. Then try the installation again.

Under Windows Security/..../..../Disabled Controlled folder access to "Off". Same issue attempting to install. Also checked temp folder security and the account used to install has all rights. Also, noted installer did not create folder in "temp folder" in "C:\Users\LORDVI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\mgxglqbvh97\addon\Vita_Concert_Grand_LE" which error message is indicating it is looking for. It did create a Magix folder in the temp folder, so the installer has rights to add data to the temp folder so it doesn't appear to be a rights issue. Thanks for the assistance, I appreciate it.

@Jim-Laursen Ok, uninstall everything again and then try to disable your antivirus, firewall or Windows Defender temporarily. Then try to install again.

If this doesn't help, there could be something missing or there is something broken in your Windows configuration or user account settings.

Sometimes I get these unexplainable problems, too. Especially after installing major Windows upgrades. Then only a complete wipe of the hard drive and reinstallation of the new Windows version and hardware drivers will help. It will take some hours but it's way faster than searching days and days or even weeks for the cause of the problems.

I have the Windows Defender disabled, as much as I can, no other anti-virus software and my firewall is disabled. Thanks for the post, still looking for a good solution.

Have you checked the other thing that @SP. hinted at? That there may be something amiss with your Windows installation?

To check this you can open a Command Prompt or Powershell window (make sure you choose the "As Administrator" option for whichever you use) and, at the cursor, type "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes). This may take some time to complete but will eventually report, either that it found no problems, or that it found problems and was or was not able to fix them.

From there you will have a much better idea of whether it is a Windows problem that is preventing the installation of the instrument.

Yes, I checked the Folder security levels, actually turned it off and tried the install, which failed. I also checked my temp folder/properties/security tab and the installing account has full rights to write to the folder. I am wondering if there is something with the installer, rather than my OS. Going to investigate that avenue. Again, thanks for the timely response. I appreciate the help.

The "installation/installer" that both @SP. and I were referring to is your Windows installation, not the installer for the instrument. Hence my suggestion to run sfc (System File Checker) which checks your core Windows files.
