Can't edit widget

Wiffle wrote on 7/29/2018, 9:09 AM

I imported the  Easy Accordion widget into my page. I want to change the content of each panel in the widget  but I can’t edit it.  If I select the widget, a small box appears below it that says “Widget: Edit”. if I click ‘Edit’ the box disappears but I still cannot edit it.  I am obviously doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

( Also, can components from the Online Catalog be added to the program's component list so that you don't have to go to the online catalog each time you want to use the widget? )

Thanks

@Wiffle

Hi

. . . . If I select the widget, a small box appears below it that says “Widget: Edit”. if I click ‘Edit’ the box disappears but I still cannot edit it.  . . . .

Is this editing the widget on a page copied from the one where the widget was inserted? If so then try editing the widget on the original page where it was inserted.

AFAICS the component cannot be imported from the Online Catalog to the programs component list.

Hi John,

I created a new page, went to the online catalog and imported the Easy Accordion widget into the page. Then tried to edit it. Do I have to save the page again before editing or something?

Hi

I imported the Easy Accordion into a new page and also an existing page and began editing immediately with no issues as shown below - the only thing I did do, you will see this in the video, was to wait to ensure that the widget was fully loaded and move completed before editing it.

That is exactly what I had done however, I deleted the page and started over and this time it worked. Don't know what happened the first time but seems ok now. Thanks John
