Can't Add Styles to Magix Music Maker 2015

jjkrebs91 wrote on 7/10/2016, 9:18 PM

In Magix Music Maker 2015 when I try to add styles the program won't add them. It shows the loading bar to show it's adding them, but when I look in the styles it isn't there.

For one of the soundpools I want to add, one of the loop types inside it shows up as a style, but none of the loops show up.

I'm confused how I add soundpools.

Hi,

I'm lost as to the structure of your Soundpools. I see Soundpools\Custom\1500 Loops and Samples and then a pile of instruments plus Funk, which I assume is not an instrument.

Where does Fund come from? I have Funk Vol. 1, but no Funk. When you open the Funk folder, what do you see?

Under Funk, are there instruments? Is there a BPM.inf file? If there is only one file, then it is a song, not a loop and cannot be used as a Soundpool. You access it under the File Browser.

Where do the 1500 Loops and Samples come from? Is Funk one of them?

My soundpools are located in (:)/Users/Public/Public Documents/MAGIX/Common/Soundpools/Custom  (Custom is what i named the folder for soundpools i added, but none of them work. It doesn't seem that the name of this file matters since the soundpools MMM comes with, and the ones MMM has as extras are named randomly)

FUNK is one of the samples in the file and should be used as an "instrument" in the soundpool but instead shows up as a style.

In the FUNK folder are wav files that MMM should in theory be able to open.

There is no BPM.inf file in there. I looked in my other soundpools that came with MMM and they all have files called BPM, and is "Setup Information".

How can I turn the "songs" into loops?

Hi,

Sorry, I don't have time to sort it all out, but here are three threads that may help:

Country

Changing chords

New Soundpools

Funk shows up in the Styles because it is in the synonyms file.

You will need to create synonyms for the files under Funk for them to show up, similar to what we did with Country, and you will need to create a BPM.inf file (it is a simple text file).

Remember that you cannot change keys like for other instruments.

You are dumer than shit or can't read. He just told you there is no BPM in it.

If you know nothing about the program DON'T ANSWER! This is NOT Twitter or Facebook!!

@Mike Wilde,

I looked at another of your threads and you are obnoxious. Speaking of dumb, "dumer" has a "b" in it, and if you could read properly, you would see that the OP said that there was no BPM file with Funk, and I told him how to create one. To find the actual BPM, he would have to use the Remix agent and put that in the BPM.inf file.

The objective was to have the various pieces of the song show up under Soundpools, even though they are not Soundpools in the sense that MusicMaker uses them.

If you have something useful to contribute, then do so. Your comment on my post is neither useful nor constructive, and is downright insulting. I try to help, you don't.

And by the way, the solution that I proposed worked for me and another user. Unfortunately, the OP did not come back with any further queries or indicate is he was successful.
