Can't access mp3 audios to playback

The dropdown menu to open and choose a file to playback no longer contains the mp3 option. The music file's name appears on File Name when I choose the All Files option, but does not appear when I choose the "All Known Media Files" option. How do I get the mp3 option back?

Try "Reset and clear cached data" in the in the 'File' menu. Close and restart Sound Forge

Alternate method: Hold the "Ctrl + Shift" keys whilst launching Sound Forge will exhibit the same dialog.
