Can somone copyright a sound you use in magix? even when they use ALOT

hey everyone, ive been using magix now for like 6 years... and ive never had a problem with it making music, aside the new version now but thats not what im here to question....
i made a tune a few months ago and it has been posted on youtube and ive never had any copyright claims to it at all, if i did i would know youtube would tell me (you know how strict they can be) , now i said to a friend that she could use this track i did on a intermission screen she uses on her livestreaming, now just recently someone has claimed and i literally mean what i say here. *a piano sample* just one... now i have gone through this so called persons music collection on beatport.. which she is selling may i add... and near all her songs (around 50 tracks) use around 95% of the soundpools you can buy from magix, reason i know this is because i own ALOT of them and i hear ALOT of them in her tunes. so should i fight this? as a false claim or something, i dont know what do to do?

@Xreama

Hi

An interesting dilemma here

If the 'piano sample' is from a Soundpool in Music Maker then you can challenge the copyright claim. Similarities are bound to exist where Soundpool loops are used, and mentioning that because you are not uploading the music for commercial gain that licences are required for the use of Soundpool loops commercially as detailed in this article.

. . . . which she is selling may i add . . . . near all her songs (around 50 tracks) use around 95% of the soundpools you can buy from magix . . . .

This is a difficult one - this person must have the correct licences to sell the music as detailed in the above article linked to, however there may be a 'gotcha' here- if your friend is using the track for her live streaming channel and that channel generates income, then this is commercial usage and you also need to obtain the appropriate Soundpool licence(s) for the loops used in your track.

im quite sure i have the right licenses myself , but i dont make to sell only to well show what i can come up with, the sound of this persons work i dont think they have a license, no offense intended just each to there own you know. and no my friend does not earn anything through streaming, she just like the song. i will challenge it for now as im not selling or anytthing, but this person (https://www.beatport.com/artist/g-raldine-stone/586622/tracks) is and just cannot tell anything more which is why i wrote here first

basically its like this from what I know you can have personal licenses for the soundpool collection and make music from that for own personal use or public use but where no income is generated whatsoever but if you intend to make music from the soundpool and sell in the market for commercial profits then you need to buy the proper commercial licenses for each soundpool collections then you as the commercial license owner can sell for profit the tracks made using soundpool collection

so I feel as long as the beatport person has commercial license he/she is safe
