Can not record input - SPDIF Interface cannot be opened!

Message reads:

Audio Cleaning Lab 4 (64 Bit)

The wave shape device 'SPDIF Interface' cannot be opened for playback! Reason: There is no driver installed on your system.

It actually was working fine then this message popped up and I can no longer record, however, I do see the input waveforms...but the record-button does not start/allow recording.

Thanks SP, however, the mic was already turned on, app allowance also on, and although I turned everything off/on again (and have rebooted many times) still not able to record. (Insert "sigh" here.)

@Stephen-Rabow The next idea is to reboot your computer. Maybe some other application it's still using the soundcard. Be sure to select to restart Windows, do not select Shutdown.

Well... I did all of that and none of it worked, however, after receiving a "memory error - would you like to send a report to Magix" (which I did)...and after switching the USB plug-ins to different ports (rearranging) it is NOW working (insert "whew" here). So thank you, SP. I'm not sure what exactly the issue is but -- at this point -- no complaints, and I appreciate your help and time. - SR
