I purchased soundforge studio 10 from Amazon on September 15 2021, received cd rom package september 16 2021, loaded into my PC, each time i put in the serial number will not open, keep getting trial version is over, if you have purchased submit serial number, which i did but to no avail, will not open and still get same message on screen, windows 10
Sound Forge 10 .. Audio Studio or Pro? Have your tried downloading the latest build from Magix or the Sony archives.
In either case, Sound Forge 10 is prone to an 'Elevated Privilege' issue on some Windows 10 PCs. Though I cannot be 100% sure this is problem in your case. Try running SF-10 as an administrator.
Right-click the Sound Forge 10 <.exe> launcher (or shortcut), choose 'Properties's and select the 'Compatibility' tab,. Under 'Privilege level', check-mark "Run this program as an Administrator" .
That said, Sound Forge 10 is very old. You would be better off if you had purchased Sound Forge 15 directly from Magix.

Unfortunately the Sound Forge 10 'Elevated Privilege' registry tweak is not always permanent and the issue 'may' reoccur at some point (however performing the registry tweak gets easier each time).
OTOH, 'Run as Administrator' is permanent.. but the pop-up dialog is annoying every time SF-10 is launched.. There is a way to disable the (run as administrator) pop-up though,
