Can I use a USB microphone with MM 2106?

CorkBlue wrote on 12/7/2015, 7:39 AM

Answers to earlier version questions suggested that USB microphones can not be used. This seems very strange these days given the connectors available on laptops and the high quality USB microphones now available. If the answer remains 'no' - can anyone suggest similar software that is compatible. Thanks

HI

USB microphones can be used - if MMM 2016 does not detect it ie it is not available in the recording options as a source, then the problem is usually associated with the drivers for the mic.

It is important to have both 32 and 64 bit drivers installed.

Hi CorkBlue,

I noticed your question, and I have helped someone else with this exact same ptoblem.

My answer was here - http://www.magix.info/uk/can-still-hear-myself-in-the-backround-after-disabling.knowledge.1147508.html

If you have any other problems, or need more help, let me know - Email me from my profile.

And, depending on the mic you purchased, additional drivers may not be neccesary. The AKG mic I use is just like any USB device , simply (as the name states) plug 'n' play.

The next, most important part for you will be the EQ/comp/reverb/parametric EQ work to make you're voice sounds crisp and clear through a stereo.

Any tips or pointers, or even wana collaborate on some original beats. Just hit me up!
