can i reinstall music maker deluxe 10 from backup dat as well as a copied saved folder of original off of a glyph external hdd?

i've got the program to wrk but there are a few glitches...some tracks wont pull up and alot of my effects pluggins are missing, actually all of them are missing! how ca i repair and with out the original pragram because deluxe 10 is pretty much extinct ...tech support wont even help because its that old...any body got any tips besides upgrade programs...please!

No you can not install any software just by copied data or backup etc. When we install a software depending on the operating system parts of program install in various places such as, Application data, Program folder, C: Users (document) or Windows/System 32 etc.

In case of Music Maker if you open Program settings you can find the folder location.

What you are saying is only possible if you would have clone/image the system using third party software. You can use the entire operating system on a new computer.

You did not mention if you are using windows xp or other operating system. As Music Maker 10 Deluxe is an older version no update or support is available that is why I still keep all of my MMM 10 Deluxe, MMM 11 Deluxe and MMM 12 Deluxe on older computer as well as all installation cds and dvds in safe place.

You are amswering your own question !  It is extinct....you cannot ride a dead horse.  You have had pleanty of time to save up some bucks to upgrade.  Start an upgrade fund now.  Best tip  I got.
