I just bought music maker premium edition 1 month ago, and I already installed on my PC. But, can I install it on my laptop too so I can work on my project wherever I want? Can use the same serial number? Would that work?
Yes. You can activate MM on 2 computers at the same time. Check your account once you do and you will see that both computers will be listed as activated. Just remember that you will have to download and install everything that you have free access to in the Store on the second computer, including any Soundpools activated/purchased through the Store; takes time.
If you have older Soundpools not purchased through the Store, then you can copy them to the Soundpools location on the second computer. These are usually installed under:
All recent versions of the programme can be installed on two machines but that may not be the case with older versions.
Also, have you previously installed this old version on another computer? If so, your Magix account is most likely listing that installation as still active. If so you need to first deactivate the oldest installation in your account.
Thank you, Jeff for your reply. I possibly did put it onto another PC that I no longer use. However, it was not listed. The version I use is MMM 15 Premuim! So a very old one. It still works (the saving work feature is not working, so a bit of a pain) but has a load of instruments etc on it, and I like the old version better than the new. The work space of the new version is too cluttered with what you can purchase etc. Maybe I haven't given it a chance. I also don't seem to be able to use other plug-ins or instruments from other places like I could on the old version.
I did have to revert back to my laptop where I have all my vst instruments etc. It would not let me have the programme on two devices which is a shame as I think my lap top is not long for this world, lol. Thank God it let me go back!
