Can I create custom transitions from Luma files in MEP?

Hi,
I recently designed 8 black and white LUMA files (.pngs) which I used successfully in the free video editor Shotcut to create "custom" transitions. The attached video below (created with Shotcut) showcases my transitions; and an example of one of the luma files (diagonal rain) is below.

[EDIT: I just uploaded a short video here but it's not showing up... any help as to how to upload mp4 files would be gratefully received!]

[Edit2: here's a link to it (maybe this works.....

My question is - am I able to create these "user-created" transitions in MEP from luma files like these? And if so, can anyone advise me how to do it please? Thanks! Jon

@Jayessarr

Hi

See this tutorial on how to create transitions from existing objects, you should be able to adapt it to using the png files.

Thanks so much, @johnebaker . Looks just what I need. Will study it over the next day or so and report back if I get any success. Jon

[EDIT - Just managed to grab 5 minutes to watch your tutorial - excellent, just what I was looking for, and very clear instructions. Thank you! I will experiment tomorrow if I get a chance, but off to retire to bed now (it's 2am!!)]
