Maybe this info and tipp can help you:

Don't put any vst dlls on the same folder level with other non music system components. This crashes many DAWs, since they then try to scan windows DLLs as VSTs, which simply doesn't work.

Move your vst2 Plugins to C:\MyVStPlugins\ or C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\,

and to make acid restart again, delete the previous VST-Setup-Cache file, to be found at:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\MAGIX\ACID Pro\10.0\acidpro_bridgeaware_plugincache_x64.xml

Maybe also delete the ScannerCache Files at:

c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\plugin_scan_state*.scan

Then restart Acid, open the Plug-In Manager Scan Setup (Button "Configure VST") and add your dedicated VST folder. Rescan.

Actually, I have been seeing most VSTs go into the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2 or C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. I've recently discovered that those directories are being used by other apps as the "system default" vst folders. Which explains why I couldn't find anything for the longest time ....
