Buying a royalty free beat

David-Pook wrote on 4/8/2022, 7:16 AM

Ok,

So i have a mix of royalty free samples I have bought off music maker in the loops section and some that are not. The ones that I didnt buy as royalty free, (commercial licence if you will) I would like to know if there is a way of purchasing an upgrade so i have royalty free version of a loop i have already bought.

I have looked and I cannot see a way of doing this. Does anyone know???

@David-Pook

All Soundpools are royalty free. It is the intended use that requires a license.

To get a commercial license, you can purchase it on Producer Planet, by Soundpool, not by loop.

Thanks for clearing that up. However...... the ones i have purchased through music maker, how do i UPGRADE to allow me to purchase the commercial licence?? Thats my original question, I wonder if anyone can answer that?

My mistake, I AM talking about soundpools, not individual loops by the way 😀

@David-Pook

You will need to buy the appropriate commercial licence at its full price. There is no method to "upgrade", if by that you mean to "pay the difference" in price between non-commercial and commercial licences, sorry.

@David-Pook

There is no upgrade price. The assumption is that one would purchase the non-commercial first and then a commercial license only if necessary.

As I indicated, you purchase the commercial license on Producer Planet. See the text of almost any Soundpool in the Store. This same information is there.

Yes thats exactly what i mean, pay the difference........ if we CANNOT do that, and have to pay again for the product, then its a big fat NO from me.

WHY can't you pay the difference, WHY hasn't this been implemented? Are there plans to include this in the future? If not, why not???

Hello, Welcome

You simply have two choices, non commercial and commercial to purchase.

For example you purchase standard non commercial at price A and you want to upgrade to commercial at price B, but you discovered it was already cheaper to purchase commercial less than A and B together.

In addition to everything you have been told, please remember these are user to user forums; questions like the ones you ask no-one here can answer.

Speaking entirely personally, I suspect there is absolutely no chance at all of Magix changing the current policy.

If you buy Soundpool at a 50% discount, which is happening regulary, you get the commercial license for the same price as the price difference between commercial and non-commercial Soundpools. I think that is your answer.

@David-Pook

Hi

@SP. has responded with a great solution, wait for the sales and purchase commercial at reduced price.

As @emmrecs has stated it's a user to user public forum and you would be better directing your query to infoservice@magix.net
