burning problem

royol wrote on 3/15/2013, 11:20 AM

I am using windows 7 and Magix edit pro 2013.

The burn process/start video encoding.

At the total process cut 2 of 5 stage.

Encoding movie menu stops on 00.22 remaining every time at the same place. On the odd occasion, about

1 in 10 attempts the burning is a success with excellent results.

I would be very grateful for any advise.

                                                Many thanks.

Hi John,

Thanks for your time and interest.

Computer is only 1 month old with 756 GB free space, and never even been on the net, and

no anti-virus installed that maybee could cause a problem.

I am using windows 7 home premium 64 bit w/spi

Processor.

AMD A8-3870K Quad Core APU(3.0GHz) & Radeon HD6550DGraphics.

Motherboard.

ASUS F1A55-M LK R2.0. FM1 A-SERIES,SATA 3.OGB/s.

Memory.

4GB SAMSUNG DUEL-DDR3 1333MHz (1x4GB.

Graphics Card

1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE 210- DVI, HDMI,VGA.

Memory.

1TB 3.5 SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200rpm 32mb CACHE.

24x DUEL LAYER DVD WRITER.

The fact that I have had 3 successful burns, to me is a complete mystery as to why I am

having this trouble.

                             Many thanks.

                                                 Roy.

Hi Roy

Thanks for that.

What is the version number of MEP 2013 ?  - mine is at 12.0.2.2 (UDC2)

Can you post a portion of the error log - it would be best if you can clear the error log and then attempt 1 burn otherwise.

Also

1. Do you have hardware acceleration for mp4/AVCHD turned on in the Program settings, Video/Audio tab ?

2. Did you also turn on the Calculate video efects on GPU option in the Encoder settings of the Burn Dialog?

If the answer is both then do not use no. 2 - it causes problems with 1.

If the answer is 1 then turn it off - and try a burn again with no disc inserted.

John
