Burning an MPG file onto a High-Definition disk

I have an MPG video clip that I want to embed in with some m2ts clips and burn the entire movie to an HD format.  When I start the burn process, my Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 starts the encoding process, but eventually bombs out (if I remove the MPG clip, everything else burns properly).

Is there something else I should be doing, or a way to "up convert" the MPG format to a high definition format that won't cause the burning process to fail?

Thank you

Hi

I have had a similar problem however it was caused by mixing audio formats (mp3 and wav).

Try loading the low res mpg into a new project, then export it as a high res mxv or mp4, then import this into the main project.

I now make sure all my audio are the same format so I would think the above should work as well.
