burned blu ray disk will play on pc but not on table top Sony player

I am using MEP 17 Plus HD, ver 10.0.12.2 on a WIN 7, 64 bit pc. When burning a project to a blu ray disk, the disk

will play on my pc using CyberLink Power DVD software, but will not play on my table top Sony blu ray player BDP S580 at all. On a Toshiba bluray player, after the disk is inserted, I get a black screen with background menu audio and the "play" arrow. Hitting 'play' starts the program. The menu never shows up.

This started with the new update 10.0.12.2 applied 5-28-13. I did not have a blu ray burning problem using the

older 10.0.0.33 version or the 10.0.11.0 version.

Seems like the menu portion of the program is not burning properly.

It isn't you, it's them.

A lot of bluray players(Sharp and Sony especially) won't play burned discs

as part of the companies' fight against piracy.
