where username = your computer logon name and Program version is the version of MEP 2016 you have.
As a guess - a common cause of this failure is an error is the disc menu - have you modified the disc menu or added chapters to the video on the timeline?
Thank you for your response of 2016-07-24. I must apologise for my late reply,I have no experiance in using error log files, but with your help I have located the dbk.log
The log would not appear to contain a record of the burn event, the last entry is dated 17-05-16, the failed burn was on 22-07-16.Could the record of this event be in another location?
The disk menu is an MEP HD Static template. The disc and chapter menu use the same template, the disc menu contains only text ,the chapter menu is same template but with 3no. jpeg images taken from the movie. The chapter markers are set in usual manner on the timeline.
You may recall I posed a question "Playback problems with AVCHD and Blu-ray discs",on 2016-04-30, to which you replied. At the time I was using MEP2013 plus and Windows 7.
I could find no soloutions to the problems even with the help of Magix Support using the "ticket" system.
I have now moved on to MEP 2016 plus and Windows 10. For the current burn faliure ,error no 36, I have used the same movie files as edited in MEP2013/Win 7, but with menus generated in MEP 2016.
The menu template used is the HD Static,"Wedding Rings".
I think I will try the burn again , could you suggest any changes to the menus before this action.
Windows 10 was installed while I was still using MEP 2013/Windows7.
This was a forced upgrade by Microsoft.I did not use the Windows 10/ MEP 2013 combination as Magix Support advised this was not supported.
The upgrade to Windows 10 was not my choice as I did not want a change of systems while I had unresolved issues as set out in my question " Playback problems with AVCHD and Blu-ray discs " 2016-04-30.
I could of course have reverted back to Windows 7, but after consideration that I was two versions behind, 8 and 8.1,I decided to continue with Windows 10 and upgrade to MEP 2016.
Thus the installation sequence was Windows 10 up from 7, and then MEP 2016 up from 2013
