won't load in that way either... copied them onto my desktop... tried dragging and drop... wish I had never bought magix... bought a midi keyboard... can see it moving the keys on the screen... can hear the sounds... but it doesn't record to the track... this has to be the worst music daw on the market .. if I'm in the first 30 days can I cancel my products and get a refund? really fed up

@anthony-watters Sounds more like you currently don't know how it works.

Ok, first step, extract the Zip file to a folder of your choice. Next, assuming you bought and downloaded a Magix Soundpool, you can add the folder to the Loops Manager with the gear icon.

If you didn't get a Magix Soundpool but a different loop pack (for example Acid loops), they cannot be added to the Loops Manager because they have a different folder structure and file naming scheme. You can add the loops to your project via drag and drop from Windows Explorer or by using the internal file browser of Music Maker.

By the way, I recommend a free Sampler VST like Big Fish Audio Momentum to load, edit and play loops. It has many tools and effects that make loop editing very convenient, fast and fun.

Next, recording MIDI and sounds is something different. If you play your keyboard it sends MIDI data to your computer. Music Maker will record the MIDI data to the track where MIDI REC is enabled in the track header. It will not record sounds. The sounds will instead be generated in real-time by the loaded VST instrument from the MIDI data each time you start playback.

So, are you good on your purchase?

I did record onto track.. but when played back nothing was there... Why are they selling acid loops packs if they don't work the same way? im not sure if its acid loops or not.. cant remember.. This is just too much faff for my liking... I used magix before .. think it was version 14... it was more intuitive... and never had any issues other than my lap top crashing every now and then but it barely passed the system requirements so it was understandable... when I decided to start back again I bought a pc with 32gb RAM to help with the crashing.. but I've noticed that once I get a song past a certain point it starts freezing a lot would have thought the newest version would work better.. not worse

@anthony-watters You can upload screenshots or screen recordings via the blue arrow icon above the response text box. Then we can see, what happened on your end. Because your description is very unspecific.

You can also say us the name of the Loop Pack you bought. Then we can check whether it is a Soundpool or something different.

I've already sent the keyboard back to amazon dropped it off at the evri shop round the corner... the sound pool was EDM smasher... I see the little acid loops sign in bottom corner of the cover art

but if I have to drag and drop every time I want to use a sample it's going to more trouble than it's worth... much like MM25 !!

@anthony-watters  Acid loops work the same way in Music Maker 14.

yeah but I bought that years ago and list it when my laptop finally gave up the ghost... my point is... you shouldn't be selling them on music maker 25 if they are not 100% compatible.. and without all the faff !! can you refund my purchase?
