black and white videos

Is it possible to turn part or all of a video to black and white. Just been to a 40's weekend and would love to be able to turn part of my video into black and white. Any ideas?

Go to the “Effects” tab – then “Video effects” – then “Colour.” Above the colour wheel you’ll see a slider for “Saturation.” Reduce your saturation and you will have black & white.
If you only want part of the video as black & white then you’ll first have to split the video at the point where you want it to be black & white, and then again where you want it to return to colour.

Here's a nice little tip to split your film. Place the cursor on the timeline, and press the letter T on your keyboard at the start of the section you wish to change, repeat process at end. Then mark it, i.e put your cursor on the 'separated' object and press the left mouse button. Now go ahead and edit.
