Batch converter broken in 16.0?

Is there a known bug with Sound Forge 16.0 Batch Converter? I've just managed to manually install 16.0 build 79 using the downloader from your website. However, any use of Batch Converter in the new version fails with this exact error:

Update metadata failed: Object reference not set to instance of an object.

This error message is produced by:

  • Any built-in Factory Preset.
  • Custom presets that do not change metadata.
  • Custom presets that change metadata.
  • Files with existing metadata.
  • Files with no existing metadata.
  • Files that load perfectly in other programs, such as your freeware competitors.

Please explain: what is happening here and how do I get Batch Converter to work again? This functionality is very much essential to why I use SoundForge.

@Grummulthrus This sounds like a NullReference-error in the program code. I don't think you can do something and should ask Sound Forge support. Maybe @Derik can help you to contact the support?

I would suggest to ask infoservice@magix.net for an older version of Sound Forge 16 which was able to run on your computer.

Hey guys,

and thanks for the notification.

I have forwarded the issue to the development team.

Have a nice day.
