Bad jittering and breakup during slomo

Magix Video Studio Platinum 2023 22.0.3.167

Win 10 64

Version    10.0.19044 Build 19044
System Manufacturer    Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model    P55A-UD3R
System Type    x64-based PC

Adapter Description    Radeon RX 580 Series
Adapter RAM    (1,048,576) bytes

Item is an mts, 1920*1080 25fps clip. It was _meant_ to 50FPS 😬

Problem : If I take a video Item and place some Keyframes in there, slowing the video down to 25% with interpolated frames, at both playback and after export the video shows sever pixelation and jumps back and forward. BUT after I un-ticked and re-ticked the play speed effect, the flickering went away.

Seems I have "solved" the trouble, but I am wondering what on earth went on.

Luckily I saved the exported video excerpt. It got worse before it got better. On the other hand it was simply not uploading. Sorry.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Nick.

Does your motherboard really only have 1MB of ram?

What processor are you running?

It looks like you have not updated you copy of Windows10 for years (Current version is 19045.2364) so you probably don't have the latest version of Direct X, Net Framework, or the latest drivers for your video card either.

First thing I would try is updating Windows and graphics drivers for your video card.

Ray.

Thanks for the rapid reply!

OK.I don't get it. Windows Updater says I am up to date and it last checked at 13:00 today.
That 1MB is for the graphics card not the MoBo, but yeah 1Mb is ridiculous.
Device Mangler says the Radeon rx 580 exists, has an up to date driver and is functioning correctly.
I tried to run AMD Software Adrenaline and it crashed saying no GPU.
    -I downloaded and reinstalled it and it now works. It says I have 8GB of RAM on the Video Card. But Sysinfo still reports 1MB
I have just spent 3 days trying to install Win 11 on another PC and I do not need this.

@OldNick1

I'm sorry but without accurate system information it will be difficult to pinpoint any problems with programs.

I think you first need to visit the Microsoft website and find out if your version of Windows 10 is corrupted or if you need to re-install it.

@OldNick1, @CubeAce

Hi

I can replicate the issue with Movie Studio Platinum 2023 v22.0.3.167 - however the video must be interlaced and there is no progressive video in the project, either on the same timeline or another timeline.

The jitter is present both in previewing and in the export - I will file a bug report and send a project.

Bug report and project have been sent.

I would suggest you also raise a bug report - through the Support page - see this article on how to do this.

I can see from the specs you have given that you must have an Intel processor - which model is it?
