You haven't actually told us very much at all about the circumstances in which you are seeing this error message, nor about your computer, but I am going to guess that this pinned post might offer you the answer even if it is not one you want to hear.
Yes- I have a Mac computer and have the Catalina upgrade that looks like people are having issues with. Sound Forge was a lot of money for me to spend but I did it because I love working with that program. Now if I cannot use it, my money is wasted. If so many people are having these problems, would it not be worthwhile for it to be fixed?
It can easily cost multiple hundred thousand of dollars or even more to rewrite SF to work with the new Mac versions, depending on how many programmers are needed and how much time it will take. So it seems that the return of investment is not high enough for them to do that.
