WhenI export avchd video file after editing it the video is blocky? Is there some setting that I need to change. The solution is mentioned in Movie Edit 15 but those settings cannot be changed in Movie edit 17.
What is the power of your computer, AVCHD file requires much more power than SD (DVD) vidéo file. You need a clean machine use the Windows tools to disk clean up and disk defrag. Close unnecessary running program using Ctrl Alt Del keys to stop programms and run only one application.
I downloaded Sony Vegas Movie Studio and tried it out and it worked perfectly. I don't want to have to buy differrent software but that is looking like what I will have to do.
YR is correct about the extra requirements for editing and rendering AVCHD material, but I'd think that on a less powerful machine you might be waiting forever to get things done but there should be no difference in the final quality.
AVCHD seems to cover quite a range of output formats eg 720 or 1080, i or p. What settings are you currently using in MEP17? You say a solution was mentioned in MEP 15 (which I don't have). What was suggested? Perhaps version 17 has the features but they have been moved. Its 'Export' tab offers a range of options but they don't include all the fine adjustments available under 'File' >> 'Export movie...' >> Video as ...'.
Yes it should take longer your rigtht. Everything moves along nicely on my computer it is just the final product. My computer is sufficient. It is 2.93 core i3. That isn't the best but like I said it gets good results with Sony software. Yes it does take longer to render in the Sony software.
I went back to Movie Edit Pro 16. I can make more changes in the video setings. It works perfect. Yes I don't have to purchase new software. I assumed that Movie Edit 17 was a step up but in this case it was not. The only downside is that the effects from Newblue don't work in Movie Edit 16.
