Automating control parameters in soft synths

Midi recording in Acid Pro 10

I have a simple midi keyboard and have recorded various clips with the built-in synthesizers, but can't find any configurable controls on any of them. For example, I have tried (without success!) to automate the release time parameter while using the Analog Synth 2. Can anybody give me a pointer? I am getting nowhere with the manual/help system. The configuration panel just shows all parameters as VITA1 -120, and all have "No" for configuration. I am new to this, so probably doing something particularly stupid.

Any and all advice welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I think you've found that such things are not configurable with Magix synths. The only configurable one is Revolta. The sample player synths are not.

Many thanks, Graham (I think!). It is what I anticipated. I will try work-arounds by using multiple, overlapping midi tracks. Just a bit more laborious than I had hoped. Incidentally, you get the same problem with any synth, not just the MAGIX supplied ones. I have tried with a number of others (such as Tyrell N6) with the same result. Guess I will have to shell out for a higher-end DAW!

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
