Automatically setting track markers : It doesn't always work .

Hello , i would like to know why the ' Set Track Marker Automatically ' option in 'Music Editor 3' doesn't always work :

I select ' Edit in External Editor ' to launch ' Music Editor 3 ' where i can divide a continuous audio file into several separate tracks which i then burn onto a cd . There I can choose between setting the track markers manually or ask the music editor to automatically set them for me , but it doesn't always work . Why ? Warum ? i ask .

Hi

The Automatically set track markers is not very accurate - on a test sample of 16 tracks it identified 35 track markers.

Looking at where these markers were placed, it looks like many short quiet passages were misidentified as a new track.

Manual marking is the only sure-fire way of defining what is a track start point.

Hello John , that was fast , i was trying it on some short files (15 - 30 seconds) , and i suppose it's because these weren't long enough that the automatic track marking feature didn't work , it didn't set any markers that is ... so that is normal right ?
