Automatic update fails for movie edit pro 15

When I run the automatic update I get an error message that I don't have the original Movie edit pro 15 installed. I am running on Windows 7 64-bit and all my programs are stored under "program files (x86)"

I guess the problem is that it expects the installation to be stored under "program files"?

What can I do to make the update work?

My update seemed to have worked, but that was based off the install.

Because Windows 7 is a different OS then that the program was released for, you might want to try right clicking the icon for the Movie Edit Pro and Run as Administrator. This might help.

I just installed the Movie Edit Pro 15 on the Windows 7 (64bit) system yesterday, for a different question on here and it is running fine. I knew about the run as administrator thing, so I actually installed the program differently.

I browsed the CD after it was inserted into the computer, I then right clicked the setup.exe and ran as adminstrator. After the installation (which took a long time) it said it needed to check for a online update, I did that and it all worked. I just checked to see if I could again, and it checked, but said that there were no updates available.

It is running Version 8.6.1.0(C1) as seen from the 'Help' - 'About MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 15'
