Automatic project backup (_BAK0.MM_-files) broken since 28.0.2.47?

Pernas wrote on 1/9/2020, 2:36 AM

Hi!

Reproduced on two separate systems with MMM 28.0.2.47 on Win10PRO, 1809&1909 and automatic project backup enabled. Can't find any _BAK0.MM_-files in my default project folder since 20191227 and many projects have been produced since that date.

Since the program crashes quite frequently when handling many different objects in the MMM-file manager this is quite bad.
(Going to report the crashing issue in another post later)

Thanks in advance,
 Per

@Pernas

Hi again.

I believe you are correct. I tested this by opening a project in MM, making a small change as well as altering the setting to allow automatic backups every five minutes, left the project open for more than 15 minutes: no backup created, or at least not one I could find!

As with your other problem, I think this needs to be raised by Support Ticket.

Ok thanks for verifying my issue - ok going to file another support ticket then - hopefully this _very_ important function will be fixed asap ;)

I would like to hear from others with the same version of MMM if this still is a problem - I've also attached a screenshot from the music folder where the .MM_-files stopped working.

It's a good thing that @emmrecs reproduced this issue as well.

As a side note, I've been able to easily reproduce this issue on other fresh computers with the same version of MMM, so clearly this must be fixed by Magix!
