Audio / Video sync problem in Magix 16 plus HD

When I load an A/V Mpeg Movie from my TIVO DVR into a magix Project the file plays but stutters in the video, but remains synced.  When burning this I get a serious A/V sync where the Audio and video are way off..

I've tried new frame rates, I've Exported the A/V to a mpeg file and have something to work with now instead of a damaged DVD but apparently video frames lost in the transition make manualy syncing impossible.

I see dozens of questions about A/V sync on this forum so i am not alone - The Magix techs have me downloading PD files like ac3filters and demuxers but if a solution can be found in the PD world WHY did I pay $100 for Magix?, Does anyone have a feasble solution that makes MAGIX pro 16 plus HD work?

I am on the verge of exhausting my patience with this.

My audio challenges were quite different; but I'm wondering if this might help? In the TimeLine edit mode, click on any audio track.  Then go to EDIT (at the toolbar at the top of the program's window).  Select MIX AUDIO (Shift + M).  If there's more than one audio track, you will have the option to mix just the segment you selected, or everything within your project.  Select ALL.

The program will now ask you where you want to save this mixed track.  Choose where you want to place this new track, then complete the process.

The new track will replace all audio with a red-colored track in your TimeLine.  Try exporting now, and see if this works for you (let me know, either way).

(as a time saver, I suggest selecting 10 to 20 seconds worth of your project to export; just to see if it's going o work).
