I'm using Sound Forge 12.6 and the audio sinewaves are filled, I want to remove the fill so I can see a pure sinewave like the old Sound Forge 6. See the attached images.
I think you have waveform 'Wave Coloring' enabled. That setting is in the "Options> Data Window" The 'Vocal Activity' display can alter the waveform appearance as well (same menu). There are also shortcut icons to toggle them on/off in the Transport toolbar (bottom left). btw, this applies to Sound Forge Pro, SF AS (Audio Studio) may be different if that is what you have.
Thanks for your quick response. I cannot find Wave Coloring nor Options> Data Window because I discovered that I do not have SF Pro, I have SF AS 12.6 build 12.6.0.360 (DC2). Mine has Options > Preferences > Colors and I set Waveform to White and got this. Don't know what that line thru the center of the sinewave is.
Thank you all for your help. I'm used to SF 6 which IMHO was way more intuitive. But now using SF Audio Studio. And now I have a new problem. The playback PPM-VU meters on the right side have disappeared. I cannot find out how to get them back. They were there when at one time. Help 😢
I am only slightly familiar with AS using the beta test version of AS-12, it was significantly different than the legacy pro versions (Pro 4, 5, 6 and beyond). The Magix SF Pro versions are basically the same though. Aside from nice plug-ins that are included and other new functions. the plug-in chainer is modal now (pros and cons) and the 'Remote record' option was removed (???). The overall display can also be changed from light to dark if so desired. It is a 64 bit as well. A 32 bit version can also be installed if one's go-to plug-ins do not run on a 64 bit host.
Maybe Jeff @emmrecs or someone else can explain the AS meter selection. it had lots of options as I recall.
I'm stuck with SF AS-12.6 thee manual shows different looks to the menu selections. Maybe they didn't update the manual for 12.6. Hopefully Jeff or someone else can help me find those PPM-VU meters again.
