Audio Interface Rode AI-1 is on but the pc doesn't recognize it

My audio interface AI-1 won't appear as a device. I tried in Windows 8.1 and it doesn't recognize it, not in Playback or Recording in the Sound tab. The same thing happens in a Mac.

When I connect the interface to the pc, the lights are on, and with the headphones and a mic plugged in the interface I can hear the sound of the mic through the headphones, but I can't hear the sounds of Windows. What it seems is that the AI-1 works but the pc doesn't recognize it.

I tried installing the firmware but it doesn't let me as the pc doesn't detect the interface so it doesn't let me continue with the installation. I also used another USB cable to see if it that was the problem, but the same happened. How can I fix this?

@Anurag, @clintondiya

I would suggest you contact Rode support given clintondiya has thoughly tested that the device is working.
