Audio recording stuck as a 5.1 bar loop

Hi - I am somewhat new to the software and have mostly been using it to build tracks from audio recording (vocals, guitar and bass with some midi add ons). Suddenly my audio recordings started recording only as 5.1 bar loops (I didn't turn on this feature as far as I can tell). I cannot seem to figure out how to turn it off - I can't do anything with it, change the length of the loop - if I stretch the recording, it just repeats the same 5.1 bars. Any ideas how I turn it off? I see plenty on midi loops, but not this issue.

Thanks in advance.

@Thomas-Moody

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Ensure that the Loop playback option indicated in the image below is turned off, recording will then continue after the end of the set range indicated by the yellow bar above the timeline.
