working with movie edit Pro - 16 Ver 15.0.0.90

I have imported a VOB file from a dvd.

I can see that there is a brief section of the imported file that plays in "fast forward" for approx 40 seconds. No sound plays during this section of video.

the regular speed video then resumes, but no audio is heard. after 40 seconds of video the sound then resumes but the audio resumes from the point at which the video had resumed at regular speed.

As a consequence the remaining video and audio is not in sync.

I have tested removing the section of "Fast Forward" video from the file but this had no effect.

Any ideas as to how this can be corrected.

Is there a way to strip out the audio and then attempt to re-insert and sync it up?

Regarding the app and version: I know it is an old program but it does everything I need. I work with old temperamental VOB files that were originally recorded on a Sony VHS recorder and then written to DVD's. I use the app to convert these to MP4s and it works just fine. I know there are updates. I have been hesitant to do the updates as I am concerned that the updates could have some impact on the apps ability to handle these old world VOB files.
