Have you ever done audio mastering before, of any kind? Any kind of advice given would depend on how far you wanted to go. Do you just want a few effects, like grain and EQ, for your voice-over track, or do you want to include things like audience noise?

Firstly: Talent; 2nd, a suitable environment and appropriate gear .. Environment= typically a very quiet room with plush furnishings if your do not have a 'studio' or VO both. If you can post an example of what you want, then post an example of your work, then we may have some opinions and recommendations. If you looking to sound like your in a hall with an audience that can usually be simulated.

What version of SF are you using and what microphone, preamp. interface, ect..

Btw,, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users group @SceneSwitchers.

Thank you so much for the feedback. So, here is the situation. I am not an audio guy, but I have created a Podcast in which I will have talent giving me audio they record in a booth. I am then going to mix it into a tv show, movie, interview.. etc.. I need the audio from the talent to sound like it is being recorded at the same time of the show, movie etc.... I have a video production background ( 35+ years) and I am working with Edius video software and sound Forge 14. I just don't know what effects to use to get the right sound per scene. I do have an extensive library of sound effects, and I have the background music to all the scenes I am recreacting.. Thanks for any help you all can give..

It sounds like one of the things you want to do is EQ-match the booth-recorded material to the show, movie, etc. material. Full-blown Ozone can do that, but I don't think Ozone Elements -- which I think is bundled with SF Pro 14 -- can.

I think Izotope will let you download a demo and play with it.
