audio crossfade problem (sound boosting)

hey!

any idea on why is EVERY single audio crossfade i make boosting the sound up for the period of crossfade taking place and then dropping back down? i thought crossfade is supposed to be as smooth as possible. this is such a disturbance you sense something´s wrong even without seeing it!

So how exactly are you creating the audio cross fade? There are many ways that this can be done.

i am just pulling one audio footage over the other. just like i crossfade the video. actually i do these two at the same time as i have audio and video clips ussually grouped together.

so i guess there is a better way of doing it, in terms of sound at least?
