Audio Cleaning Lab will not Record with Soundblaster AE-7 Sound Card

I recently purchased a new Dell XPS 8940 computer and installed a new Creative Labs Soundblaster AE-7 sound card because the Dell did not have a line in/mic on the factory installed Killer sound chip. How do I get the Soundblaster line in to recognize the Magix Audio Cleaning Lab software so I can record audio as normal?

@thinkon

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Which version of ACL?

Is your Soundblaster card seen, recognised and usable in Windows? If so, ACL should be able to access it.

BTW, I think your final sentence ought to read: How do I get ACL to recognise the Soundblaster card, not the other way around.

I'm not sure whether this will help you, but running the latest version of ACL, now called Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 3", going to File>Record>Advanced I see the following screen. The highlighted area s where the settings for my "soundcard" are shown, in my cas a MOTU interface.
