Audio Cleaning Lab Incompatibilty with Windows 7

Cannot record internet sound (radio). No problem with Windows XP. Eventually found info that Creative Labs have disabled "What U Hear" function so impossible to record via stereo mix. Indicates new drivers may solve problem. Has anybody succeeded in sorting this out? I downloaded a free trial bit of software and recorded some internet radio easily. Same soundcard. Very frustrating as I have been using ACL since version 3 and would prefer to continue.

Hi

. . . . Audio Cleaning Lab Incompatibilty with Windows 7 . . . . impossible to record via stereo mix . . .

This is not an issue with ACL 7 but your computer hardware.

Try this:

Open Control panel, Sound

Select the Playback tab (or equivalent) it may look something like the image below which is for Realtek who do the same disabling the stereo mixer.

Right click in the centre pane and check the options shown if they are available.

Click Ok and close the dialogs.

Hopefully the stereo mixer will be there.
