Audio Cleaning Lab 2014.

I have used Audio Cleaning Lab for over ten years and this is the first version to disappoint me.

Why has Magix made this software - for which I paid good money - so difficult to use compared to ACL 2013? There is no fast forward mechanism; deletion of stuff beteween tracks when working on vinyl is so haphazard that I have reverted to using ACL 2013.

I am using Windows 8.1.

Hi,

See my review of AML2014 Premium here.

I presume that you purchased ACL but the interface is the same. AML just has more goodies.

I didn't notice that the ff button had disappeared too.

I suggest that you contact Magix support with your comments as I did. They definitely missed the.boat with this version and their excuse that they wanted to "simplify" the interface is not acceptable. They actually made it harder by removing some of the normal tools. The worst was removing (or forgetting) the mouse mode button.

Please report back with their reply.

Hi,

Thank you.

I have contacted Magix support who, whilst not agreeing with my frankly expressed comments, have kindly agreed to cancel the sale and to refund me with the purchase price of the 2014 software which I have now uninstalled. I shall continue using the 2013 program which, as far as I am concerned, did not require improvement / enhancement.

I have noticed the same after upgrading 2013 > 2014.
Had a pretty long mail-conversation with (dutch) Support.

In the end, I did get a personal agreement from the support desk, sent my previous bills/version info (as I registered most of them online) and got without any explanation... A new serial number...

I guess they agreed with me.
