Im having issues with movie studio 18 platinum where my audio and video are not syncing correctly during edits and causes huge inconsistency is there a work around this or any trouble shooting methods?
This can be a known problem when dealing with variable frame rate video such as from screen recorders or some mobile phone footage. Video editors work on a constant frame rate principle and while they may be able to cope with slight changes in frame rates sudden changes breaks them. They have no idea how many frames to take away or to add when the header of the file is broken (cut/ edited) so the audio can either go out of sync or be placed in the wrong position. You may also see frame stutter. Normally the cure for this is to convert the file to a constant frame rate file using a free to download convertor such as Handbrake.
To see if a file is a variable frame rate file download MediaInfo and look at the text view.
In addition to @CubeAce comment - if you are importing .mpg or .vob video files then they do tend to have an issue with audio syncing - right click the mpg files on the time and select Create (new) frame table.
Note: this fix should only be applied to mpg/vob files - do not apply it to any other video file type.
neither worked unfortunately, when I play the video on me desktop it plays just fine but as soon as I upload the same file and watch the video without editing there will be audio delays on some portions of the video. Any other solutions are welcomed :(
I am screen recording gameplay with the program OBS studios when and converted the file to MV4 at 60 fps to keep a constant frame rate but did not work
