audio and video are out of sync

When I import *.MOD video file (MPEG2 codec) into Movie Edit Pro and play it, video and audio are out of sync. The far from the start I play it, the more it's unsynced. "Create Frame Table" option is off. The file plays OK from outside Magix (in Windows Media Player). The rendered movie is unsynced too, obviously. What can I do for resync audio with video? Thanks.

Hi,

Did you type 'sync' into the Search tool on the right (for 'All areas') and browse through the hits?

It turned out that the issue was in adjustment process. When I created new project, the movie size property was 1280x720 (16:9; 29.97 fps). Then I imported original file which had the size 720x480. It seems that both ("adjust movie" and "don't adjust movie") don't work or MEP have a bug in adjustment procedure so video and audio become unsynchronazed. So I created new project with correct size 720x480 (16:9; 29.97 fps) and then called to "Create (new) Frametable". After doing that, the video and audio are synchronized. Seems that movie size must fit the original file size or there is a bug in adjustment function. I reported about the issue and they will investigate it and (hopefully) fix it.

Hi,

Pleased to hear you sorted it and thanks for the prompt feedback.

I'd be interested to learn whether others have found the Adust > Yes facility reliable or not? In years of MEP usage I have rarely answered anything but No and have never tested it methodically.
