Assistance Needed with Creating a Photo Slideshow

Mauricio-flores wrote on 1/29/2025, 8:48 AM

Hi,

I’ve recently purchased the new version of Movie Studio 2025, and I’m hoping to get some help with creating a photo slideshow. I’ve located the Photo Slideshow Wizard under the "Edit" menu, but I’m unsure how to group or select only the photos from my movie for the slideshow. When I try to create the slideshow, it’s pulling in all the video from the beginning, which I don’t want. I only want to include the pictures in the slideshow and effects, not the rest of the video.

I’ve spent all night trying to figure this out and would really appreciate your help! Additionally, when I click on the "Help" or "Context Help" menus, nothing happens, and I’m unable to access any of the help content.

Thanks so much in advance!

Hi,

You have posted under PhotoStory, which is a different program. A Moderator will probably move this thread to the correct location under Movie Studio.

On the timeline, set a range for the part that you want to use with the Slideshow Wizard. Shortcut I for in and O for Out. Set this over just the photos that you want as in the image below. If there are any video clips in the range, they will also be sent to the Slideshow Wizard.

Open the Slideshow Wizard and check the box "Apply style to selected range."

Then continue on. Remember that your slideshow will go back to the timeline, replacing whatever was in the range with the modified material.

As to your questions on Help, when you click on the first one, it should open a version of the manual in your browser. What is your default browser?

You can download the pdf manual by using the third Help entry. It should open the download page in your browser.

You can also download the pdf manual from your account on the Magix.com site. Log in, go to My Products, Movie Studio 2025 and download Instructions.

In addition, under the MAGIX Hub tab, click on Help. It should open the same manual as in my first point above.
