aspect ratio

mikecompetillo wrote on 6/28/2011, 7:13 AM
I have selected 16 - 9 aspect ratio in every place it needs to be selected and still my video plays on my dvd player at 4 by 3 format thete seems to be no way that I can figure out how to correct this . I'm adding on now to my comments earlier I found that my television set needed to have the dvd settings reset in order to properly display the 16:9 format that's a place where people should check before taking other drastic measures thank you to all the people who help on the forums

Hi

Assuming you are using a standard PAL or NTSC widescreen DVD preset in the Burn options try the following

Click the Encoder settings button

Click the Advanced button

On the right you will see the burn settings that the project is going to use - if the ratio is still 4:3 then there is a missed setting somewhere.

Hi Mike.

Movie Studio (Premium Pro Edit 2022) processes only one video clip when many are selected to apply: reverb, echo, pitch shifting.

They can be if you hold down control on the keyboard and click on each sound clip to select the files you need the program to apply the effects to and then click on the linked chain as it is not always desirable to have all effects applied to every clip.

Then do the following.

Make sure each effect is active and that the blue circle in the top left hand corner is on. You can see I have also selected and added reverb prior to selecting the pitch shift. Then right click and audio portion of the first track in the chain (You may be able to click on any any audio section at this point, I'm not sure as I didn't try.) and select the following.

Select this by right clicking a section of audio track.

That brings up this box with the following choices.

Result is

In Movie Studio (2022) On the distortion adjust screen, the little red points at the corners are so tiny that they are hard to click on. Could you please make them bigger?

I find it easier if I first reduce the size of the clips in the preview monitor but it may depend on the size of your monitor and its resolution as to what you actually see.

I forgot to add not to forget your audio mixer. Especially as a failure to enable the master track Limiter may result in some clipping of the sound in the rendered file without it, but is is also useful to add additional effects to individual tracks or to add extra third party vst 2 audio plugins to the program.

It really pays to read the manual or look at some of John CBs online tutorials.

HI

. . . . the little red points at the corners are so tiny that they are hard to click on . . . . .

Try using the 3D Distortion input boxes - as seen in the last video clip in Rays post above.- each pair of boxes represent the location values of the corners of the image.
