Application keeps crashing.

Andrew-Rush wrote on 8/10/2022, 10:36 PM

I am currently using the Movie Edit Pro Premium.

Before installing the newest update, I was able to see the templates as well as see the preview of them but was not able to add them to the project. After installing the newest update when I load a new project and head over to the templates the software immediately crashes. I've already tried uninstalling and re-installing and trying the troubleshoot compatibility nothing works. this is the error message I get.

"Error in module "Qt5GuiMx64Qt57.dll"

Please help me figure this out. I have sent my crash log every time this has happened.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Move the contents of the folder location below, to another temporary folder on you computer:

C:\Users\<User>\Documents\MAGIX\Program name \ShopManager_Videodeluxenn_version

where:-

<User> = your logon name

nn_version is a 2 digit number and version

Then start the program, if all is well delete the moved files.

@Andrew-Rush

Hi

. . . . I can not seem to find that file anywhere . . . .

What is the version number of Movie Edit Pro as found under Help, About?

If you are looking for the file Qt5GuiMx64Qt57.dll that is not what you are looking for.

I have this same problem and its an issue that should be addressed by technical support not something we need to dig and dig somewhere in a forum for solutions. Why can't Magix be more proactive and provide this information where it can be accessed in technical support? My directory in Win 11 is different and there is no folder as you show, is there a way to reach customer service at Magix? I'd like some help with this

@Trey-Lem

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Support for all Magix products is via this forum or, if any suggested solutions do not work for you you need to create a Support Ticket. Click on "Support" in the header of any forum page and follow carefully through each succeeding page, always choosing the option to Contact Support. This is often found right at the foot of each page.

Hi

. . . . My directory in Win 11 is different and there is no folder as you show . . . .

This topic was for the error in Movie Edit Pro, assuming you have Movie Studio the path is the same ie

C:\Users\<User>\Documents\MAGIX\Program name \ShopManager_Videodeluxenn_version

Eg, mine for Movie Studio Suite on the C: drive is in the folder Documents\MAGIX\Movie Studio 2023 Suite\ShopManager_Videodeluxe29_Premium

However if you have moved your Documents folder to another drive then it should be in

the MAGIX\Movie Studio 2023 edition folder on that drive.
