Anti-Interlace Deflickering

biketrash wrote on 10/12/2012, 1:26 PM

I've searched this term, and everything I found seems to involve burning DVDs, which I'm not interested in (right now anyway).  My questions are about playing videos back on a computer screen AND making videos that will be uploaded to Vimeo.

Re:  MEP 16

What exactly is anti-interlace flickering?

Since we're advised to turn the option off when we render a movie, why is the option there?  When should we use that option?

Thanks!

Hi

This is for removing the flickering introduce when converting interleaved scan video to progressive scan video - more information can be found here.

If the video is already in progressive scan format then you do not need to apply the filter, otherwise keep it checked to smooth out flickering.
