AM I BEING RIPPED OFF

MIKE-DION wrote on 7/10/2021, 6:19 PM

Two issues. One I just paid for 2022 and it does not show up (it still shows 2021) (I did take a print copy of the page) and Two on Song Maker there is not CREATE button?

@MIKE-DION

Hi,

I presume that you mean Music Maker. No, you did not pay for Music Maker 2022 because it's free. You probably paid for the Premium Edition 2022.

Did you download and install Music Maker 2022 and download and install everything that was probably under the Downloads button? You have to do that first before applying your activation code for Premium Edition 2022.

I suggest that you keep Music Maker 2021 installed until you know that 2022 works properly.

I will be installing MMM2022 tomorrow, so I'll know more then.

Hi

Did you receive an email with confirmation of your purchase, a new serial number and download link to the installer, if not check you spam folder.

. . . . I suggest that you keep Music Maker 2021 installed until you know that 2022 works properly. . . .

This is not possible MMM 2021 is replaced by MMM 2022. I contacted Magix on this before upgrading mine - the capability of keeping both versions was only for the upgrade from MMM 2020 (32 bit) to MMM 2021 (64bit).

@MIKE-DION Your screenshot looks like you have a very low screen resolution which is not enough to see everything. You can try to dock the Song Maker tab to a different position on the screen so you can see more of it.

Thanks. I think I found it now. But I like the old version better. Take Care.

Hi

If you are short on screen space I would suggest you turn off the side bar panels when not using them - see image below

@MIKE-DION @SP. @johnebaker

Hi,

I should have taken a screen shot of the Song Maker window. The white top of the Create Song button was just visible at the very bottom of the screen on my SP4 with the Task bar hidden. After undocking the Song Maker window, the button was visible. Now, after playing around with it, the button is visible in Song Maker in the docked position. I think that this needs to be checked as other users may have this problem and not find the solution.

In Mike's case, the top of the button was likely hidden by the Task bar.

@MIKE-DION

Assuming that you have downloaded everything after activating Premium 2022, then you should have Song Maker AI which allows you to "Create song parts, individual sections or entire songs at the touch of a button with the help of artificial intelligence! Song Maker AI uses up to eight Soundpools and 49 song templates to create unique musical compositions."

Are you able to do this?

Would you know why I am still seeing Magix Low Latency 2016 since I have updated to 2022 Premium?

@MIKE-DION

That is an ASIO driver, nothing to do with the version of the program. There are two, 2011 and 2016. Best to use ASIO4All or and ASIO driver that comes with an external soundcard if you have one. I use the M-Audio M-Track external audio card and driver.

@MIKE-DION

Hi

If you mean:

  1. You see this as a small dialog usually bottom right of the screen - then this is just an information message telling you that the ASIO driver is active - ignore it as it goes away after a few seconds.

  2. Why is it not 'Magix Low Latency 2022' - you can ignore it that too, the 2016 version is the latest version of the Magix ASIO driver.

  3. The default driver in the program settings is the Magix Low latency 2016 - this is the default driver and is the one you should be using unless there are other reasons not to - eg you are using an external audio device instead of the computer audio card.

So for some unknown reason I can not move my Bar to include the whole track. This effects where I'd like to listen to as well. I have looked at documentation and it does not indicate why this is now locked. Any advise? Thanks. Mike
