Am I able to have a different effect on each graphic in my storyline/timeline?

I am a brand new user. I would like to use multiple effect on my video. I will be using photos and would like to alternate effects ... different ones for each photo. Also I would like to have the photos fade from one to the next. Can I also apply other effects when using a fade? (I'm wanting to use pan and zoom "Ken Burns" effect)

I am using Movie Edite Pro

Hi

The answer is yes to all these - you can combine many effects here is an example - the sparkling background is three different effects combined - towards the middle of the movie you will see the effects 'disappear' to reveal the original video.

To give you an idea of what is possible, I would suggest you put a selection of photos on the timeline and then run the Slideshowmaker wizard using the Chillout movement/zoom template to get your starting show which you can then adjust.

Come back if you have problems or need more info - there is also the installed pdf manual you can refer to.

Also look through the tutorials on this site and on the Internet for MEP.

Thank you so much! I only had the trial version until today and I puchased the software at a store. Everytime I tried to apply an effect to the second graphic the effect on the first graphic disappeared. I will check out what you have instructed. Also, now I have a manual. Thanks for all of the advice. I'm excited!

Hi

Some effects are mutually exclusive ie you can only have one or the other.

The Slideshow Maker wizard will get you off to a good start - as you can then see how the effects work and are created.

Happy editing

John

Hi John,

I think you must be right *sighs* I put two graphics side by side. I used a movement template (one that i want to use often) "up - down" to the first graphic. I also tried to apply it to the second graphic. When I play the video back it only works on one graphic. Any idea what I can be doing wrong? Thanks!
