@gl21_jojo

Welcome to the Magix forums.

You chose "Music Maker Jam" as your product but then ask about "Music Maker 2016". Which do you have?

If it is indeed the 2016 version of MM that you have, that is now rather "old" and may not function fully under recent Windows versions.

It would also be helpful to us in attempting to help you if you would give much more details about your computer, the exact version and variant of MM you have (check under Help>About) and what, exactly, you have tried in order to resolve your problem, and with what results.

Magix Support is via a Ticket system, which you can create via the Support link in the header of any forum page.

Good day,

The issue is that 5 min or so after logging in (MM2016 live) the program will crash and computer will turn off by itself then turn on just like what happen when you restart the computer. I lost my work and time because as soon I start working back same thing will happen again and again.

Hope you understand.

Thanks,

George

Thank you for this further info. Are you saying that every time you launch MM 2016, after about 5 minutes the app crashes and your computer shuts down, without any intervention from you?

If so, I would have to suggest that this is a problem within Windows! I have never known the crashing of any app to be followed by a shut down of the OS. I accept it is entirely possible that something in your MM installation is causing a conflict with some part of your OS, but for that to trigger a full shutdown of that OS is bizarre, to say the least.

Exactly which build of Win 10 are you running? Is it fully updated? You've not actually told us anything about your hard drive(s): type, size, free space. That information could be relevant here.

Also, your CPU is now rather old technology. It could easily be a contributory factor to your problem, perhaps overheating? Can you check its ventilation fan?

Hi

. . . . Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 . . . . Windows 10 Enterprise, 64-Bit . . .

From your spec are you running a high end workstation PC that is meant for CAD and high end design programs?

Xeon processors are were not intended for use in general purpose PC's, they are missing functionality for running Windows based software such as Music Maker and is likely to be the cause of crashing.

Good day you all, I build this machine some years ago. Yes it is a work station that is why I choose it because rendering is one of the good qualities of the machine.

Much thanks,

George
