N0 matter what I do all my videos I play in this editng program are jumpy.  I then copied one to another place and that was jumpy in that place.  I want to edit my films but all the videos do is jump and it is so hard to do so.  This is so frustrating how can I get my videos to stop jumping in this program?

I am having a real hard time with this editing ayatem.  It is the only editing system where all my videos are very choppy.  One time it works then it reverts back to being choppy and it is all videos that I play in the editing not one certain one all but if I play it on my computer it is fine.  I can't edit a choppy video it drives me crazy.

Complete computer specifications?  What do you mean by that

64 bit Windows 8

MEP 2013 version

its all videos and cameras this particular one was a cannon high def camera.

Ive changed things in the video formats and I have 8 gigs on computer and have not used much.

If I can fix this issue then I can edit and it would be great but the freezing and skipping of the video is a little bit annoying that is the only reason I can't do my work correctly.  What can I do to stop all my videos in this program to stop skipping?

Hi

Computer specification :-

Processor type and Model    eg Intel Q8300 2.5GHz

  Memory (RAM) installed

Graphics card make, model and memory

Hard drive size and free space

Also be more specific on:-

Video format  ie for HD what resolution is it eg 1920*1080, format eg mov, avi, mts, avchd

Is the jerkiness rall the time playing or just where there are transitions or complex edits eg collages.

You will find if you search for 'jerky playback' using the search box on the right that this is a regular question with HD video and some answers which will help.
