AI voice has crackling sound

Pacharee-Pantoomano wrote on 5/29/2021, 6:45 AM

When we use the Speechelo (AI voice) and download the MP3 file onto our laptop, it plays fine. When we put it in Movie Edit pro, the voice file starts to have crackling sound and we do not know why. Can you advise how we can fix this problem. Thank you, PP

You can hear the crackling sound in this Youtube video:

@Pacharee-Pantoomano

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

Have you opened the mixer and checked the sound level in the effected track channel and master output channels are not going above 0dbm? Have you activated the limiter on the output of the mixer stage?

Ray.

Yes, it's not go over the limiter. It's normal. There seems to be an issue when we put it in Movie Edit Pro and we can't figure it out. There was a support person name ***** that was communicating with us 7 days ago. He has not feedback on what we can do to fix. We have followed up twice. Now, we thought maybe other have had a similar problem and want to get the community's input.

Then it is next best to check the file itself with MediaInfo and paste the results here using the Text view of MediaInfo. Remember each file you use is re-rendered on export and therefore re-compressed. If the file is not of sufficient quality or has an odd sample or bit rate that is lower than that of the export, it may not transfer well even if it plays well enough within the editor.

How do I check the quality so it does not crack? What is consider sufficient quality?

@Pacharee-Pantoomano

In addition to what @CubeAce has written, have you tried converting the .mp3 to 16 bit 48kHz wav and inserting that into your MEP timeline?

Also, please do what Ray has advised and show us a MediaInfo analysis of your file.
